OOM: April 2012
Apr. 13th, 2013 06:27 pmSomewhat to his surprise, when Joshua walked out of Milliways, he walked right into a half-empty office. Everything from his officemate's side had been cleaned out, other than the... almost jackal-looking thing still by his computer. Grabbing a stray grocery bag and sticking the thing in it without paying attention to the music swirling around him, he left his office and knocked on the next door down. "Hey, Georg, are you in there?"
The door opened a crack and a blonde man sticks his head out of the door. "Ja?"
"Have you heard from Shinji lately?" The other man shrugged.
"He got taken away to hospital. Very sick. Stomach flu. Now leave me alone."
"Right, thanks." Even before Joshua could finish his sentence the door was slammed in his face.
Walking back to his apartment, he was easily ignoring the music swirling around him until someone came up behind him and tapped him on the shoulder. "Hey, can you turn your music down? We can hear it all the way down the hall."
"Oh, sorry. I think my phone's malfunctioning. I'm almost to my room, and I can shut it off." He walks faster, down the hall, and into his apartment. Without thinking, he dumped the bag with the jackal on his desk. As it hit the static bags strewn across the desk, a tiny flash jolted Joshua out of his thoughts. Grabbing a pair of gloves from a drawer, he picked up the thing and put it into one of the bags. A rather huge flash came from the bag, making Joshua wince. "Huh. So that's how that works."
Going to his closet, he pulled out a duffle bag and stuffed it full of random clothes, opened the door, thankfully, the bar was beyond.
