October 31, 2012: Warehouse Hallowe'en Party

Welcome to Leena's Bed and Breakfast. It's a homey-looking place with a well-loved lived-in feel. Once you come in the front door, you're faced with a hallway. To the left is a large living room, with a sunroom off of the side, and a dining room off of the back. Straight ahead is a kitchen, with a private wing behind it and a bathroom. To the right is a stairway upstairs with a ribbon tied across the banister. Go under the ribbon to your own peril.

Joshua, Helena, and Claudia are milling around.

He winces briefly at the thought along with David,

"I see then have you heard of Mendel?"

He and Helena had to round up one of his overgrown pea patches once. That was a bit of a faff.

"Then I'm the same type of scientist as he is. I study genetics with a focus on mutations."

David nods. "So he was on to something after all. Can't say I'm surprised."
People who turn their work into Artifacts are rarely chasing shadows.

"He was, just the tip of the iceberg really. We've only recently been able to model genes and there's so much more to learn. If you're curious, I can tell you more about it. I wrote my dissertation on the subject at Oxford."

"Science has always been more Helena's field than mine, but it may make for interesting reading."

"Next time we're in Bar at the same time, remind me and I'll get it for you."

"I will, thank you."
