October 31, 2012: Warehouse Hallowe'en Party

Welcome to Leena's Bed and Breakfast. It's a homey-looking place with a well-loved lived-in feel. Once you come in the front door, you're faced with a hallway. To the left is a large living room, with a sunroom off of the side, and a dining room off of the back. Straight ahead is a kitchen, with a private wing behind it and a bathroom. To the right is a stairway upstairs with a ribbon tied across the banister. Go under the ribbon to your own peril.

Joshua, Helena, and Claudia are milling around.

"A woman who can write? That is unheard of! Next you will tell me that men can fly!" He's going to need to get his helm off soon, though. How did they manage this?

"Ah, but your majesty, men can fly. Not on their own, and not with wings, but in large metal machines." She grins. "It is a lovely amazing experience that a dear friend showed to me."

"A metal machine," he says as he takes off that helm, "is a lot more comfortable than a metal hat.

"Happy Halloween."

She grins at him. "Happy Hallowe'en to you as well, Howard. It is ever so good to see you again. That is an absolutely dreadful hat. Bar can be quite cruel, from what I have seen."

"So I'm starting to hear, and see. Someone I know was turned into a 12 year old for a week.

"And I'm stuck wearing something that looks like a suit of armor I bought after the war." Only less rusty.

[timelessinventor]

"One of my colleagues was caught by that as well. He ended up much younger than his younger sister, which rather disturbed her horribly." She makes a face.

"The armour is not awful on you, however, I have seen things that suit you much better." She's quite glad that she hasn't been in the bar today.

"I was just planning to wear a mask. Nothing too fancy this year, since the masked ball of the day at home is supposed to be just that. The Corbins frown on costumes.

"But here I am, hoping not to get rained on because I really don't want to rust." He flashes his usual smile, which matches everything.

[timelessinventor]

"Ah. I have heard that dressing up here is rather what is done. There were fancy dress balls in my original time, but not many."

She laughs. "I dare say we can make sure that you do not rust. If nothing else, I believe there is an oil in the Warehouse that prevents rust."

"And should I trust anything you keep here? The way you talk, it sounds like I need to be careful." Even with Helena as a guide.
