Early February 2013; The Warehouse

Things have been unsettled in the Warehouse for the past day or so. Artifacts have been sparking more often, and almost every occupied aisle has a static ball buzz by at least once.

Joshua got David's letter, and is coming back to the Warehouse to see if there's anything he can grab that might help Helena be herself more often than not.

He steps out of the door and sighs. This is not a good week.

Sure enough, there's an unsettled-looking static ball hovering near the door when Joshua comes back.

Beeeeeee?

"Hey, you." Joshua grins and holds out a hand. "You're really unsettled, aren't you?"

[k39zzz]

Bee. Beeeeeeee eeeeeeeeeee eeee.

The static ball settles in Joshua's hand, buzzing around a lot more than usual.

[damncompass]

Joshua pets the ball for a minute. "Hey, you don't have to be all incoherent. It'll be ok. I'll fix her."

After a minute, he winces, and pulls his hand back. "Ow!" He has a bit of an electrical burn on his palm.

Bee!

The static ball backs away from Joshua by a few feet.

"Hey, it's ok." Joshua sighs. "I just have to figure out what to bring Helena that might snap her out of this."

[k39zzz]

The static ball continues hovering a few feet away from Joshua, with a distinct air of but it's NOT okay.

Beeeee. Beeeeeee eeeeeee beeeeeeeeee! Beeeeeee.

"Is it in here?" Joshua starts going towards where Helena's things are. "It is alright. I'll be fine."

Beeeeee beeeeeeeeeeeeee.

The static ball follows, still keeping its distance.

The doll is on a shelf in Helena's workspace, and he smiles. "Well. Found it. Come here, you." He holds out his hand. "It's going to be alright."

[k39zzz]

beeeeeeeeeeee.

The static ball finally consents to settle in Joshua's hand again, but it's still agitated.

[damncompass]

Joshua just holds it for a moment. "Hey. I'm going to fix this. Besides, it's just the flu. She'll beat it, and then she'll be back to herself."

[k39zzz]

Beeeeee. beeeeeeee eeeeee.

And then something else startles the static ball, and it zaps away from Joshua again. Beeeee!

"Ow!" Joshua winces as he gets another burn across his hand. "Hey. It's alright. I promise. I'm going to go and make sure that Helena's alright, and I'll be back as soon as possible." He blows a kiss in the direction of the static ball. "Love you."

Beeee.

The static ball takes off before it can zap him again.
